Qurtix: PDF & EPUB Reader Privacy Policy
What the app keeps on your device, what leaves it when you choose to share, and how to reach us.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Who is responsible
Vangald Group Inc., 209 Kenmore Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205, USA, publishes Qurtix: PDF & EPUB Reader. For app privacy questions, email support@vangald.com. This notice describes the app behavior reviewed for this version; it does not turn planned features into current data practices.
Reading data on your device
Qurtix does not require an account or sign-in. When you import a PDF or EPUB, the app copies it into its local library and keeps the book details it needs to display and organize it. Notes, highlights, bookmarks, reading position, folders, favorites and reading preferences are stored locally so the reader works for you.
In the reviewed app code, these library and reading records are not uploaded to a Vangald server for routine use. The app does not include an advertising or analytics SDK in its declared dependencies. This statement does not cover a backup you deliberately send to another app or service.
Backups, exports and sharing
You can create a backup and choose to save it or share it using your device. The ZIP backup contains a readable manifest of library details, folders, preferences, reading progress and annotations, including notes. It can also contain imported book files when they fit the backup limits; some book files may be omitted. Qurtix does not encrypt this ZIP backup. Keep the file somewhere you trust and delete extra copies you no longer need.
You can also export notes or share selected text. These actions use the system file picker or share sheet. The device and the app or service you choose may handle what you export or share under their own privacy practices. Qurtix itself does not silently upload your library to a Vangald cloud service. Your device’s own backup settings may separately copy app data; review those settings if you do not want a platform backup.
Support messages and who may see them
Choosing feedback opens a draft in your email app; no message is sent until you send it. The draft includes the feedback type, app version, platform, app language and, on Android, the Android version. You decide what to write or attach. Your email provider and ours handle the message under their own services.
We use messages sent to support@vangald.com to answer support requests and resolve reported issues. Authorised members of the shared Vangald team, including personnel employed by the separately incorporated Vangald AŞ in Türkiye, may access a support message when their work requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Premium and third-party services
Premium purchases are not currently available in the reviewed app build. Store-purchase code exists, but a working purchase-verification path is not configured. The reviewed code does not send purchase receipts to a Vangald server. If purchases are enabled later, we will update this notice before that data flow begins and explain the store and verification services involved.
The app uses device services to select files, save files, share content and prepare email. It also includes a store-purchase integration for the planned Premium feature. Apple, Google, email providers or a destination you choose may handle information under their own policies when you use their services; they do not receive your local reading library merely because it is stored in Qurtix.
How long information remains and how to remove it
Your local library remains on your device until you remove a book or note or uninstall the app. Deleting a book in Qurtix removes its app-managed file, cover and associated annotations; it does not delete your original file outside the app. Uninstalling generally removes app-managed local data, subject to your device’s operating-system behavior.
Backups and exports saved outside Qurtix are under your control and are not removed when you delete a book or uninstall the app. You must delete copies from the locations or services where you saved or shared them. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer the request, maintain necessary records or meet legal obligations. Email us to ask about access or deletion of a support message, subject to applicable law.
Security and changes
We limit access to support correspondence according to work responsibilities. Local data is protected by your device and its settings; no storage or transfer method can be guaranteed risk-free. In particular, a Qurtix backup is not encrypted by the app, so protect the file and choose sharing destinations carefully.
If Qurtix later adds accounts, cloud storage, active purchases or another material data practice, this page and the relevant app-store disclosures must be updated before that practice starts. The date above identifies this version of the policy.
Questions about your data?
Write to Qurtix support. Tell us which app version and request your question concerns, but do not email books or sensitive notes unless they are necessary.
